Chris Edwards

Chris has been a proud member of the rUDE mECHANICALS for the past 4 years, where he has appeared in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Winter's Tale, and A Mouthful of Birds. Most recently Chris has been touring nationally and internationally with The Bomb-itty of Errors, which will open on London's West End in April 2003. Off Broadway: Murder in Mind at La Mama and Romeo and Juliet at the New Victory Theater. In New York and on tour: The Tempest with John Houseman's The Acting Co.; Woza Albert at Lincoln Center Institute and Snatch at Soho Rep. amongst others. Regionally: The Cherry Orchard, Christmas Carol, and A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Guthrie Theater; Taming of the Shrew, Merchant of Venice, Measure for Measure and Romeo and Juliet at The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival; Flyin' West at Stamford Theater Works and Penumbra Theater amongst others. Some of Chris's favorite roles include: Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Luciana in Bomb-itty of Errors, Pompey in Measure for Measure and Percy in Woza Albert. Chris has directed Master Harold and the boys, and A Midsummer Night's Dream at St. Michael's Playhouse and College in Burlington, VT; Hey Steve at the 24 Hour Plays in New York City; Blood of the Poet at the Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis, MN; Henry V and Comedy of Errors at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's School outreach program in Cold Spring, NY.
