Eric Siegel

Eric first appeared with the Rude Mechanicals in their 1999 production of Vaclav Havelís Largo Desolato, directed by Associate Artistic Director Derek Cecil, and became a company member later that year. He has also appeared in RMTCís productions of The Winterís Tale and their New York premiere of A Mouthful of Birds by Caryl Churchill and David Lan. He became Artistic Director in the summer of 2001. Other credits include the role of Dr. Horowitz on the CBS drama "The Guardian", John Belushi in the ABC Movie of the Week "Gilda Radner: It's Always Something", the national tour and Broadway companies of A Thousand Clowns, and the world premiere of Neena Beber's A Common Vision at the Magic Theater. He has worked regionally at the American Conservatory Theater, The Olney Theater Center, and Shakespeare on the Sound, among others. Film credits include I LOVE YOUR WORK, MY FELLOW AMERICANS, A BOY CALLED HATE and LOVERGIRL, among others. Eric is the author of the plays The Perfect Match, A Mike Fink, and (wish) [1999 criticsí pick for direction in "Backstage"]. From 1992-1996, he served as a creative executive for producer Jon Peters where he developed over sixty feature films including ALI, THE WILD WILD WEST, MONEY TRAIN and ROSEWOOD. He holds an M.F.A. in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater and a B.S. in Theater from Northwestern University.
